Self-Love (Introverts’ Edition)
I sometimes receive messages from people who feel lost and misunderstood.
“I wish I were as optimistic as you are.”
“I don’t know how to deal with anxiety. “
“I am weird and I hate that.”
When you’re an introvert, things seem harder. You feel overwhelmed by tons of emotions, and the most social interaction you have daily is walking your dog. Fitting in seems close to the impossible. And you’d never use “fun”and “party” in the same sentence, would you?🤨
I am here to tell you you’re beautiful, and I don’t need to see you to confirm that.✨
Here’s what makes you special, and why you should actually be proud of being an introvert:
You don’t talk much😶
How is that a good thing? Well, your true friends will always appreciate that you listen to them carefully. Also, being quiet gives you the opportunity to notice so much! The rest are missing out, seriously! There are so many ways to express yourself. Who says verbally is the best? Take notes of what you see, of your dreams, of all the things you keep inside and turn them into art. You should only focus on finding the perfect means for you: it could be writing, drawing, painting. Dare to discover!
You feel too much😳
Oh, you must be a wonderful human being! Again, that’s your artistic side speaking! Instead of struggling to run away from what you feel, take your feelings and hug them tightly. When you finally embrace who you are, you’ll see things in a completely different light.
Deep down, you know you don’t like a lot of people😒
I know, I know, making friends is hard this way. But don’t you prefer having a few amazing friends to tons of people you can’t trust completely? Unlike the others, you see through masks. And that’s not a flaw, it’s a superpower!
You don’t mind being alone😊
You actually enjoy it. I mean, what’s better than a good book accompanied by a cup of a delicious drink? As long as you don’t exaggerate of the period of time spent alone, it is actually healthy and productive. Get to know yourself and find out what you want/ what you need.
You have the tendency to daydream😍
Well, guess what! The perfect life starts from a dream. Listen carefully to what your heart has to say. Once you decided what you want to do, then focus on a plan. Make sure your goals don’t remain in the same way where they were born, inside your head.
All in all, you need to stop asking yourself When do I become like the others? Instead, ask yourself When do I let myself enjoy who I am? ✨
QUESTION: What’s the thing you like most about yourself?
