Positivity – The Trend
Is it just me or positivity has become a trend?
On one side, I understand the idea of sharing pretty aspects of life and encouraging others to find the beauty as well. I mean, this is something that I do too. Why? Well, I’d like to know that people who come across my blog feel encouraged and understood after reading articles. So I always focus on what I could transmit so as it lifts up your mood.✨
On the other side, overshared positivity might make people reconsider their lives. If you are not always happy and bright like that blogger/vlogger you love watching, then maybe there’s something wrong with your perception on life, right?😬
Someone sent me this message on Instagram and it made me think: Are you always as happy as you seem to be?
And the answer I gave her is that no, I am not. No one is happy ALL the time and that is normal.
Keep in mind that content creators only share highlights of their days. You don’t get the full picture, just the best parts of it.🌈
I personally consider myself to be a generally happy person (but I have my lows as well). As I’ve mentioned before, part of my happiness comes from doing what I love and choosing to invest my time in what matters to me. 💙Although I am not happy all the time, I want to share with you some things that bring me the joyful feeling and maybe you can try them as well:
There are things we must do like it or not. It’s the same for everyone, whether you’re in school or working already. No matter how much free time you are left with, use it properly. It’s never too late to start something new and unleash your hidden talent.🦄
➡ Little Things
Treating myself with chocolate, coffee and a good book fills my heart with happiness. You may find joy in the most trivial things and that’s one of the good things in life, like taking a long bubble bath or binge watching your favourite TV series, or catching up with your close friends. You name it.
There will be people getting the wrong impression of who you are. Look, YOU KNOW YOURSELF BEST. 😌 There’s no other human being who has been through the exact same journey as you. Don’t stress over proving yourself to everyone. 🤗 Just try to accept that their opinion does not define your nature. Allow people have their opinions and stay close to those who see the best in you.
There will be people who won’t share the same ideas as you. As annoying as it seems, it’s actually interesting discovering different perspectives. Instead of arguing, feel free to share that you don’t agree with that idea, but don’t try to go against it either, especially on forums.😶
I must have read this in a book cause it’s too witty for me to come up with it. 😅 There was this idea: If you can choose whether to be fair or kind, choose the latter. Being kind and polite is A LOT more important than being right. Do you agree?
Choosing to do something nice deliberately means a lot. No matter how small the gesture might seem to you, it could make someone’s day brighter. I sometimes receive soulful messages from people who encourage me to continue what I’ve started and I have no words to express how much that matters.💗
Nope, I am not talking Analytics and number of likes. But going a little deeper. I think knowing yourself is crucial when it comes to spotlighting happiness. You know best what drives you. You know your dreams and unspoken desires. It’s pretty much up to you making yourself happy.😊
I will not develop this topic here, ’cause I plan to discuss this in a later article. When I say “faith”, I don’t necessarily mean it religiously(unless religion is what gives YOU faith).
This is something I’ve heard recently: The opposite of anxiety is faith. The belief that something good will happen and if not, you’ll survive and learn from it. You might consider that to be your divine help or your hard work and amazing skills. (As I said, acceptance)🌟. The point is that people who have faith tend to be happier than others.
So what fuels your positivity? Please, share your ideas in the replies section below.🤩
